Arab Hellenic Chamber Organizes the Business Meeting “Egypt Greece”

The Arab Hellenic Chamber organized the business meeting "Egypt Greece", with the participation of more than 50 businessmen and representatives of Egyptian companies, and more than 75 businessmen representing Greek companies.

This event was presented by the Chamber's Secretary-General Rashad Mubjar, followed by two welcoming speeches by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber, Haris Geronikolas, and the Vice President of Human Resources in the Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC). Then the two guests of honor spoke with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Greece, Ismail Khairat, and the Greek Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, George Ameras. In their speech, Khairat and Ameras touched on the positive and strategic relations and fruitful cooperation between Egypt and Greece.

Within the framework of the "Working Meeting", 4 working sessions were held. The first session dealt with the electrical interconnection project between the two countries, the role of the private sector and the two countries' experiences in renewable energy. While the second working session dealt with the issue of navigation, ports, shipyards and prospects for cooperation between the two sides, the main speaker presented it to His Excellency the Minister of Navigation and Policy of the Greek Islands Ioannis Plakiotakis, he reviewed the ministry's role in developing this sector, the efforts of the Greek government, and the reality of Egyptian-Greek cooperation in this sector. As for the third session, the importance of the issue of food security and its effects on many peoples, and the need to develop cooperation in the field of agricultural products and food industries and related services and other food fields, was reviewed.

As for the fourth and final session, the reality of mutual investments between Egypt and Greece and Arab investments in general in Greece was discussed. Emphasis was placed on the necessity of opening wider horizons for cooperation and increasing investment exchanges. In this session, the Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) presented an initiative to establish a private company in Egypt for young entrepreneurs that would take care of their ideas and provide them with support to develop their businesses. After that, bilateral meetings were held between the two sides.
